2nd Annual meeting of the National Partners Group

Glass and glazing national associations met yesterday for the second annual meeting of the National Partners Group (NPG). The National Partners Group is an open forum bridging the European and national perspectives and activities.

The extension of the ETS to buildings and the impact on the flat glass value chain of the rise of energy prices were the main topics tackled during the web conference:

• What would be the impact on flat glass transformation and processing of the new ETS for buildings?
• What can we learn from the German experience and the implementation of the “Nationaler Brennstoffemissionshandel – BEHG”?
• What are the initiatives put in place at national level to mitigate the impact of energy price rises on the industry?

National associations actively participated in the discussion and shared information about their national realities. The annual meeting of the National Partner Group remains an unmissable event for the European associations representing the flat glass value chain.
