Cedar ING Offices

Designed by Benthem Crouwel Architects, Cedar is a new office building in Amsterdam consisting of two five storey volumes connected by a glass footbridge. The building, interior and surrounding park are designed as an integral whole, with the architecture focused on transparency, connectivity and collaboration.

The highly sustainable, human-centric design is a fine example of the company’s aim to empower people in a building that opens itself up to society. The design achieved ‘outstanding’ in the sustainability category by BREEAM-NL.

Coated solar control glass was selected for the glazed façade of the building. This coated glass offers very high natural light transmission, while ensuring energy savings.  The multifunctional coating minimises the need for artificial light and offers solar protection combined with outstanding thermal insulation.
