Glass for Europe at UDTVP’s Journée Technique Transformateurs 2018

On 4 October 2018, Glass for Europe’s Secretary General was in Paris to attend the “Journée Technique Transformateurs 2018”, an event organised by its national partner UDTVP – Union des Transformateurs de Verre Plat, which represents the interests of flat glass transformers in France.

Bertrand Cazes, Glass for Europe’s Secretary General, illustrated the main activities pursued by the European association and provided an overview of the flat glass market at EU level. The anticipation of the first outcome of the statistics exercise on the European transformed glass market was very welcome by the audience. In 2018, Glass for Europe together with a group of National Partners (i.e. FIV-VGI, UDTVP and Bundesverband Flachglas) launched an analysis of the market for float glass, laminated glass, tempered glass and insulated glass unit in France, Germany, Belgium, Poland and the whole European Union.
