Glasstec is back!

Glasstec is back!

Glasstec, the International Glass Trade Fair, reopened its doors after 4 years of a forced break due to the COVID pandemic. From 20 to 23 September 2022, the international glass sector met again in Dusseldorf to discover and undercover innovations, trends and solutions in the world of glass. The fair took place during a special year for the glass industry since 2022 was nominated by the United Nations the International Year of Glass.

The 2022 glasstec edition hosted Glass for Europe’s Board of Directors which took place on Wednesday 21 October. All Glass for Europe’s members and our 2 national partners,  Bundesverband Flachglas and Bundesverband Glasindustrie, were present at the fair. Some with dedicated stands, others with special events, others with the last glazing technologies. But beyond the differences, all gave room to the contributions of the flat glass industry to a more sustainable environment.

Flat glass is a high-tech material essential to the energy performance, safety, security and comfort of building and transport. While leaving glasstec, it stands clear to all participants that flat glass is an innovation enabler which improve people’s lives and their environment.
