The need for flat glass recycling at the NGA Glass Conference

Glass for Europe was in Long Beach, California for the NGA Glass Conference. The event organized by NGA – National Glass Association takes place twice a year and brings together peers from across the North American flat glass supply chain. As part of the International Year of Glass, the event offered the opportunity to strengthen the link with glass and glazing colleagues from the other side of the Atlantic.

Glass for Europe’s Secretary General Bertrand Cazes participated in the panel discussion “The Need for Recycling to Enhance Our Supply Chain” to present the state of play of flat glass recycling in the European Union. European flat glass manufacturers promotes the dismantling, collection and recycling of end-of-life building glass (from windows, glazing and other products) to ensure that end-of-life flat glass does not end up in landfill. “Across both sides of the pound, we must make progress on this to push circularity and enhance sustainability”, said B. Cazes.
