Today, Glass for Europe dedicated its second 2023 workshop to “the logistic of glass racks and stillages” in the EU. Participants discussed the challenges and opportunities of developing schemes to manage the movements of glass racks, confirming that the issue is a shared concern in the flat glass value-chain.

The workshop also hosted the company Gestellpool Europe, which operates in Germany. Gestellpool Europe developed a service to aid customers in the glass and window industry to release reusable transport racks ready for collection, so that the return of these to the owner can be logistically planned and implemented.
The workshop concluded with the presentation of Glass for Europe current activities on flat glass stillages.
